Christopher Yen is a Partner at Simplicity Group, the largest wholesale distributor of life insurance and annuities in the United States with over 400 million a year in life insurance target premium and 7 billion annuity premium in sales. Prior to joining Simplicity, Chris founded Blue Ocean Financial Network (BOFN) in 2013 to better service bankers, financial advisors, and insurance agents in the advanced life insurance planning and underwriting arena. Chris is considered a leading expert and a consultant to several major Private Banks in the fields of estate planning, life insurance premium financing, and foreign national underwriting. Blue Ocean was acquired by Simplicity when Chris joined the firm. Before starting his one firm, Chris served as the advanced planning director for several wholesale brokerage and wealth management firms in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to entering the wealth management industry, Chris worked in Taiwan as an analyst for an international Commodities and Futures broker in their CTA unit. Chris studied Economics and Industrial Engineering/Operations Research at UC Berkeley.
